Dear Parents,
We hope you had a wonderful weekend! We are very excited for our final literature celebration this year on Thursday, April 4th.
Windy Nights poetry recitations will begin this week.
In Literature, we will continue to read from our classic by Beatrix Potter. We will work on comprehension strategies of retelling, story elements and compare/contrast. In Grammar/Writing, scholars will review the parts of speech and search for nouns in complete sentences.
In Math, we will review the strategies we have learned in Chapter 9, subtraction skills for numbers to 100. Scholars will take a chapter test on next week.
In History, we will continue with our unit over the American Revolution and uncover how the colonists win the war. We will focus on the role of Deborah Sampson and George Washington.
In Science, we will take a look into the eclipse and safety! Learning all about what we will see next Monday during the Solar Eclipse, and how to be safe while doing it. We will also be finishing up our unit on Space with a test Wednesday. If you haven't already, please fill out the permission slip, linked in last weeks blog post.
Thank you so much for your continued support and partnership. Have a wonderful week.
Go Griffins!
