First Grade News
Dear Parents,
Happy Monday! We are in the home stretch of this school year!
Our last celebration is April 16th. Please bring in perishable items by Wednesday April 16th or 17th.
In Literature, we will continue to read from our classic by Beatrix Potter. We will work on comprehension strategies of retelling, story elements and compare/contrast. Please begin to send My Father's Dragon with your scholar by Friday. We will begin reading it on Monday 4/20.
In Grammar we are working on prepositions.
In Math, we will have a cumulative Test over Chapters 8 and 9 on Tuesday. We will start Chapter 10 on Wednesday, interpreting and creating picture and tally charts to solve problems.
In Science, we will investigate the three types of energy; heat, light and sound.
